Vow Stage Fright
You always dreamed of having a bespoke wedding ceremony.
You hired amani wedding officiant skilled in the creation of your love story and personalized vows.
You rehearsed the way you would look at one another and share your promises.
You were all set.....
Now, its D day and you are in panic. Your hands are sweating, your chest feels tight and your mouth is dry.
The guests are seated and its almost time to walk down the aisle.
You can feel your heart pounding and your legs wobbling.
What do you do to get through this agonizing moment?
How can you reclaim your courage?
Make your wedding your own. This is your show and you are the stars of the show. There are no grades for your performance. Your friends and family are there to support you. They did not come to your wedding to judge you. Your ceremony is so important and what you say to your partner is more important than how you say it. You can cry, you can laugh, you can stutter, you can leave out a word. The only thing that matters is being authentic.
Working with me to create your love story and your personalized vows, I will ensure that the words we use come from your heart and soul. This will make it easier to repeat during the ceremony.
Having some nerves is completely normal but after I ask you to take your partners hands, and to face one another, you will begin to relax and enjoy the moment before you are pronounced married.
Remember that the guests are also anxious. They are not quite sure how they are supposed to behave and the solemnity of the moment can be intense. They might also pick up some of the tension that you are feeling.
We can discuss some ways to include the guests in the ceremony, helping to make everyone settle in and have fun.
But always remember that when you walk back down the aisle as a married couple, you will forget any of the worries you had prior to the marriage- such will be your joy and excitement!
